How To Use Impression Kit
Useful Tips
Clean Your Teeth First – Brush and floss thoroughly before taking your impression. Any food particles or plaque can affect the accuracy.
Dry Your Teeth – Make sure your teeth are dry before applying the putty and light body. Moisture can prevent the materials from setting properly.
Follow the Timing Instructions – Follow the mixing and setting times precisely. Incorrect timing can affect the accuracy of your impression.
Apply Even Pressure – Press the tray evenly across all teeth to ensure the putty and light body capture a complete, accurate mould.
Stay Still – Try not to move or talk while the material sets. Movement can create bubbles or distortions.
Check the Impression – After removing the tray, make sure all teeth are clearly captured.
Avoid Touching the Surface – Oils from your fingers can affect the mould’s accuracy.
Rinse Carefully – Rinse the impression with cold water only. Avoid hot water, which can warp the material.
Package Promptly – Drop off your completed kit at your post office as soon as possible to prevent warping or damage
Take Your Time – Don’t rush the process. Following each step carefully ensures the best possible fit for your final piece.
What Good Impressions Look Like
To make sure your grillz fit perfectly, your impressions should capture every detail. Deep, clean, and bubble-free.
Detailed below is what a good or bad impression looks like:
✅ Good Impressions
All teeth visible
Deep enough to capture gum line
No air bubbles
Smooth and even mould texture
⚠️ Bad Impressions
Missing or shallow teeth marks
Bubbles or tears in the mould
Crooked or uneven bite
Mould too thin or incomplete
If your impressions don’t meet the standards above, you will need to purchase a new impression kit before we start crafting your grillz.
Take your time and follow each step carefully for clean, accurate results the first time.
Remember to complete both impressions so we can choose the best one.
